The blades in this series are primarily made from steels such as 154CM and N690. 154CM is a stainless steel that retains its sharpness for a long time and is easy to sharpen. Böhler N690 is particularly a tough steel that won’t lose its sharpness quickly. If you want a Kizer Vanguard knife that can really take a beating, there are also knives made from CPM 3V steel. This is a very tough steel that is nearly indestructible.
