Yoshiharu produces traditional gouges and wood carving knives. The company is over one hundred years old and was originally founded in Tokyo, Japan. It is a small company with 45 employees. A part of the production is still carried out by hand. The factory produces stunning, traditional Japanese wood carving knives and gouges. Cool, traditional tools that are absolutely timeless.
Ancient Japanese tradition
Japanese printmaking follows an age-old tradition that is still preserved today. The prints from the 17th and 18th century are most famous. You might know them, the beautifully coloured landscapes highlighting Mount Fuji. Today young children still learn how to make these types of prints at school. As a result the Yoshiharu gouges make many Japanese feel very nostalgic.
