The **Xin Cutlery XinCraft XC117 chef's knife** is a graceful Japanese kitchen knife. The angular handle and the outspoken damascus steel look amazing together. A razor-sharp knife that is also amazing to look at. The chef's knife is very versatile. From cutting meats and vegetables to size, to finely chopping a clove of garlic.

## Xin Cutlery XinCraft XC117 damascus

The polished blade is made from 67 layers of damascus steel with a Japanese VG10 steel core. VG10 is a great type of steel for both pocket knives and kitchen knives. Rock-solid and easy to sharpen. Stunning and almost unheard of that we can sell a knife with this type of damascus steel for this price. An almost unparalleled price-quality ratio. 

At least as special is the way the blade is sharpened. This knife is enhanced with a flat grind with a convex edge instead of a traditional V-edge. The advantage is that it is a lot easier to use. ## Xin Cutlery XinCraft XC117 handle

The handle is at least as remarkable as the blade. The handle is made from rosewood. . A red-brown coloured type of wood with a deep and wavy pattern. The buffalo horn holster is accentuated by a red sheet of G10. A rock-solid type of plastic. The geometric shapes in the handle make the knife look amazing and also provide you with enough grip.

Nahezu perfektes Messer!
+ Ich persönlich liebe die Ergonomie des Griffes und das niedrige Gewicht.
+ Klinge ist sehr fein zugeschliffen.
(+) Mit dem langen graden Rücken der Klinge kann man exzellent Dinge auf dem Schneidebrett verschieben.
(-) Durch die das Gewicht und die sehr schmal verarbeitete Klinge ist selbige allerdings auch recht flexibel, was mich nicht stört, aber einigen meiner Freunde Angst macht, wenn sie das Messer benutzen.
Die Klinge der Damastversion ist weniger flexibel, die andere Version ist auch mir zu flexibel.
(-) Ich persönlich habe das Gefühl, dass an dem Matten finish der Klinge mehr Gemüse hängen bleibt, als bei andern Messern, aber das kann auch Einbildung sein.
