The **WMF Grand Class utility knife 14 cm** is excellent for cutting meat, fruit, vegetables and herbs. A real utility knife! Perfect if you think a chef's knife is too big, but a paring knife is too small. This will become your favourite kitchen knife!

## WMF Grand Class type of steel

The blade is made from X50Cr15MoV-steel. This is a type of steel that is often used for kitchen knives. This is simply because it is easy to sharpen, retains its sharpness well and has excellent corrosion resistance. WMF knives are always sharpened with laser precision. Each knife is individually measured with a laser, after which the optimal sharpening angle is determined. A robot then sharpens the blade to an unprecedented sharpness. Ready for a lifetime of intensive use.

## WMF Grand Class handle

The handle is made from POM. This is an extremely durable type of plastic that can withstand all substances and conditions that can occur in a kitchen. The blade runs throughout the entire handle. The POM scales are seamlessly attached to the blade in the traditional way, with two rivets. It is impossible for dirt to get between the parts. The bolster - the metal part between the handle and the blade - contributes to the perfect balance, and it also protects your fingers. Better safe than sorry!

Please note that knives are almost always sharpened by hand, even in factories. This value is therefore only an indication of a single tool measured by us.
