As the name suggests, the carving knife is designed for cutting meat. The blade is a lot slimmer than a chef's knife, for example. This ensures that you can cut more accurately with a carving knife, without tearing the meat. With this knife, you can cut nice even slices of meat. 

The bread knife is intended for cutting bread, but there are a lot of other things you can do with it as well. A bread knife, sometimes also referred to as a serrated knife, is also well suited to cutting large fruits with a hard skin, such as melon or pineapple. You can also use the serrated knife to cut a head of lettuce, for example.

## Victorinox Wood handle

The handle is made from maple wood. This dark-coloured wood gives the knives an elegant appearance. The handle is sanded by hand for a comfortable grip. Because of the wooden handle, the knives are not dishwasher safe. After use, simply clean and dry them by hand!
