**The James Brand The Pike** is a modern take on the classic grandfather's knife: the slipjoint. This is a stunning knife that you can use to open boxes and peel apples. In addition to it being a functional tool, an indispensable EDC tool, the Pike is a stylish accessory that will complement any outfit.




You open the The James Brand with two hands. To make this easier, there's a nail nick which gives you a little extra grip using your fingernail. This pocket knife is not equipped with a full lock, only with a slipjoint mechanism. This provides some resistance to prevent the knife from snapping shut during normal use. However, if you press on the spine of the blade, the knife will shut.



## Blade made of Sandvik 12C27 steel
The blade is made of Sandvik 12C27 steel, a corrosion-resistant steel from Sweden that was specially developed for knives. It is a steel grade that strikes the perfect balance between toughness, ease of sharpening, corrosion resistance and sharpness retention.



The blade is enhanced with a coating. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not specified which type of coating has been applied, however, what we do know is that a coating generally protects against corrosion. However, it is always possible for the coating to start showing traces of use after a while, such as scratches. This is normal wear and tear that gives your knife character.
