This **Sakai Takayuki Children's chef's knife, black** is a Japanese kitchen knife for every small prince or princess in the kitchen. The knife has a small handle and the blade is safer. The tip, for instance, is blunt and the heel of the knife is also rounded. This reduces the risk of accidents. We do want to mention that the blade itself is sharp. Razor-sharp even. Does your little one dream of once becoming a professional chef or do they simply love cooking? With this child-friendly chef's knife they can safely get to work!

## Sakai Takayuki Kids blade

The blade is made from stainless steel. In this case the steel is less hard than a Japanese chef's knife with carbon steel. The main advantage is that the blade won't chip. If you accidentally hit a bone pieces won't break off. The steel is also easy to sharpen if, in time, it loses some of its sharpness.

## Sakai Takayuki Kids handle

The small, black handle is made from POM. This is an extremely robust plastic that can handle impact, heat and acids. The handle can therefore handle its own. We, however, do not recommend cleaning the knife in the dishwasher. This can negatively affect the sharpness of the blade, but, even worse perhaps, it could affect the colour of the black handle. So simply clean it by hand. This way your kids also immediately learn how to clean up after the cooking process!

## Sakai Takayuki Kids

The Sakai Takayuki Kids knives are, like all other Sakai Takayuki knives, made with great care and craftsmanship in the Japanese city of Sakai. Completely made by hand by real knife experts. Afterwards they are sharpened by hand for razor-sharp results.
