The **MKM Root RT-TBR Titanium Bronze** is a modern slipjoint. Designed by Jens Anso. One of the most famous knife designers today. Characterizing for his designs are the organic shapes and sleek lines. Combined this results into a tasteful and stylish design. The MKM Root is no exception.



The blade is enhanced with three cut-outs that offer you enough traction to make sure you easily open the knife with two hands. The blade is made from Böhler M390 steel. This is a type of steel that retains its sharpness well and is incredibly wear-resistant. It is also very stainless. One of the most popular choices at the moment. When opened a slipjoint will neatly keep it open. And yet you can still easily close it: it merely offers resistance, it doesn't lock the blade. As such you can legally carry it with you almost anywhere. The sheepsfoot-style blade is thin and razor-sharp. This type of shape is mostly suited for daily tasks such as opening boxes and envelopes.



This version of the root is enhanced with a sleek bronze-coloured titanium handle. Tough, milled lines and a stunning, blue anodized ring around the pivot complement the handle. Like many gentleman's knives the Root is not enhanced with a pocket clip. Because of a couple ingenious details you won't miss it. At the end of the handle, milled in the backspacer, you will find a lanyard hole. You use this hole to attach a lanyard. With it you can easily pull it from your pocket. And it adds a little flair! Or you use the leather sheath with belt loop. This belt loop has a magnetic closure. Would you rather not carry it on your belt? You can also carry the sheath as a 'slip sheath' in your pocket. Because of the supple leather this is very comfortable.



## Where does MKM Knives come from?


MKM is a cooperation between Viper, LionSteel, Fox and Mercury. Four masters working in the Italian knife industry. It is no coincidence that they all come from the city: Maniago, northern Italy. The knife capital of the south of Europe. MKM stands for Maniago Knife Makers.

Beautiful slipjoint knife, great overall fit and finish. Nice snappy intermediate stop, not too difficult to open, given the three little holes instead of a conventinal nailnick. The nicely crowned spine continues all the way to the back spacer and lanyard point, and together with the bronze titanium scales ot feels really nice in the hand. Its blade shape is perfect for my everyday tasks in the house, like opening boxes and packages, and it is very sharp ot of the box. Like it very much.
