Full description
The MKM Normar Knivesandtools Exclusive is a bushcraft knife that is also great as an all-round outdoor knife, or for hunting or survival purposes. It was designed by Jesper Voxnaes, in collaboration with Knivesandtools! With this knife, we wanted to get the most out of this type of steel. That's why the edge has a scandi-grind, which is a first for LionSteel. The blade is long and thick enough to split a thick branch. In addition, the belly of the blade is great for food prep or for skinning hides. The sharp tip is great for cutting tasks that require precision. And at the pommel, the steel sticks out a bit, so you can also use this knife as a firestriker.

Pure beauty. An ideal crossover knife, good for almost every task one could imagine for it. It arrives crazy sharp (my pocket Spyderco's where not that sharp), so be careful. Super light (130g) and robust (thanks to 3V) slicer. It's was a smart decision to make it thinner than a usual modern outdoor knife. I personally do not need a thick knife in the wild, BCS I expect knife tot be a perfect cutting instrument first of all, and heavy tasks are for axes\tomahawks\saws.. It comes with micro edge, so not a 100% true scandi, but that what makes home sharpening more easy and does not decrease its cutting action at all. Just note one thing: it's handle is thin. I wear a 10 size glove and it's hard to hold it tight when doing some work with it. So I used several layers of tennis tape along the whole handle length + formed a puukko style belly in the middle of the handle. It has a perfect and secure grip now even without a guard. Weight increased to 170g and sheath does not close now, but knife sits tight even without that clip closed. Not a life long option, but tape is cheap and wrapping takes 5min. I also tried to wrap handle with Paracord around and it worked great as well. What I like, that even if you unwrap that Paracord (in case you have to use it) you still have a working handle left 👌 Resume. All knifes have some compromise in them: some are tough, but think and heavy, some are beautiful, but not practical, some are too expensive etc.. The compromise for this knife is it's beautiful but thin handle, which without additional layers would fit only for small hands. But this also allows you to customize and personalize your knife with some additional tapes\paracords and form a perfect fit and grip handle.
