The Medford USMC Fighter Flipper Tumbled S45VN Blade, Tumbled Handles, Black Pommel, Black Hardware is a cool pocket knife, based on the famous fixed USMC-fighters knife. Greg Medford turned this iconic design into a strong pocket knife. You open it with the flipper, or the large thumb slot. The large handle is made from titanium and like with the fixed version the handle has been enhanced with grooves. In between the titanium scales you will find a titanium backspacer which is placed on the handle like a type of 'buttcap'. According to Medford this is extremely difficult and expensive to produce, because it is difficult to clamp it in a milling machine and because the tolerances are very strict.
