The KME Diamond Lapping Film Set with glass base, 6 micron is the start of the last part of the sharpening process. The lapping films have a polishing effect. The set is comprised of five individual lapping films, plus a glass sheet that serves as a base for the lapping films. You place the whole in the sharpening stone holder of the KME Precision Knife Sharpening System, Diamond Stone Kit or the KME Precision Knife Sharpening System, R.P.S.H. Combo Kit. KME indicates that the 6 micron lapping film corresponds to 3000 grit.
