Forge de Laguiole - Waiter's Knife Pouch

The **Forge de Laguiole Putman Butter Knife Ebony** is a butter knife designed by French designer Andrée Putman. This elegant knife has a sleek design and a straight edge. The sharp blade cuts through bread effortlessly, from a croissant or brioche to a hard baguette. The round shape at the end of the blade means the knives are also surprisingly good at spreading butter or soft cheese!

## Forge de Lagiole Putman Butter Knife blade

The blade is made from matted stainless steel. This matte finish gives the knife a velvety and graceful look. Matted steel is also less quick to show fingerprints or other stains. And because the knife is not serrated, it is easy to sharpen if it starts to lose some of its sharpness over time. On the top, exactly between the handle and the blade, you can see the characteristic Laguiole bee in minimalist form. Andrée Putman's signature is engraved on the right side of the blade.

## Forge de Lagiole Putman Butter Knife handle

The handle is made from ebony wood. This is a hard wood with a deep colour. It is a natural material, variations in colour can therefore occur. However, this makes each knife a unique masterpiece! The wood has undergone a process that has made it very dense. A synthetic resin is added to the wood under high pressure. This makes the handle a lot stronger and also water-resistant. To keep your knife beautiful for as long as possible, we do not recommend cleaning them in the dishwasher. Simply wash by hand and then dry with a cloth.
