The Mineral B Element pans with a thin layer of beeswax on the baking area. This protects the pan from corrosion. In addition, this helps to flavour the seasoning in the pan. The B Element deBuyer Mineral pans are suitable for all heat sources, including induction and the oven. These pans do need a special treatment, but when used properly they are a pleasure to work with.
