The **Case Stockman** is a true classic in the pocket knife world. This pattern is almost as old as the entire category of Traditionals. This Case Stockman is a very pure incarnation of this classic model.




You open the Case Knives with two hands. To make this easier, there's a nail nick which gives you a little extra grip using your fingernail. This pocket knife is not equipped with a full lock, only with a slipjoint mechanism. This provides some resistance to prevent the knife from snapping shut during normal use. However, if you press on the spine of the blade, the knife will shut.



## Case Tru-Sharp SS steel
The blade is made of Case Tru-Sharp SS. This is a stainless steel that is actually the same as 420HC steel. This steel allows for fast sharpening, making it easy to maintain a sharp edge.



The blade has been polished, this is a premium blade finish that leaves no room for error. A polished blade ensures minimal friction while cutting, making the knife cut like a dream.



## Synthetic handle
A synthetic material that has been used for knife handles for over 100 years. Synthetic as a handle material has several important advantages. For instance, it is very stable, which means that it stays closely fitted to the handle of the knife, even in fluctuating environmental conditions. Moreover, it is also relatively inexpensive.



## Traditional: the Stockman pattern
The Stockman is the quintessential cowboy knife. It is typically equipped with three blades for various tasks around the farm. These knives can be used for anything from preparing food and cutting ropes to castrating calves. For this last cutting task, a spey-point blade is often included. The handle of a Stockman knife usually has a subtle S-shape. While three blades are common, Stockman pocket knives can also be found with one or two blades.
