The Böker Plus Caracal Folder is a robust pocket knife, designed by Boris Manasherov. When you hold the Caracal you immediately notice the great ergonomics. This is my second folder from the Boker range and again, I'm not disappointed. Its design encompasses everything I like in a knife -drop point, satin finish, high flat grind and a good quality steel (D2 tool steel). If there's a criticism it's that its locking mechanism is a little too easy to open and close however, a cleverly hidden pin is available to turn it into a fixed blade should the job at hand require it, thus removing any concerns of accidental closure. I found the G10 scales a little sharp on the fingers on the underside of the grip, easily remedied with a rub from a 600 grit paper. The pocket clip was uncomfortable in the palm after some use but again, easily fixed by swapping it to the other side. The Caracal folder is a big, solid knife, beautifully designed and well constructed. Recommended.
