The **Bark River Gunny** is a compact version of the Bravo 1. Originally this knife was designed for military use. Soon, however, it became clear that this knife could do so much more. Today the Gunny is a popular knife among bushcraft enthusiasts and hunters. It is solidly constructed, with enough blade thickness for more demanding tasks. At the same time, it's lightweight enough to take with you on hikes. This is an ideal knife that can be used for many purposes.




The blade of the Bark River Gunny Rampless PSB-27, Aged Green Canvas Micarta, outdoor knife measures 9,7 cm in length and 3,9 mm in thickness. The total length is 21 cm.



## Blade made of PSB27 steel
The blade of this Bark River Knives Gunny is made of PSB27. This is an upgraded version of D2 steel. By spreading out the components of the alloy during the manufacturing process, the structure of the steel becomes incredibly fine. This ensures that wear resistance and sharpness retention are greatly improved. In addition, PSB-27 is also a lot tougher. However, it is not completely corrosion resistant, so it can discolour or even rust if you don't take good care of it. So clean and dry it after use, and apply a drop of oil once in a while to keep it in good shape.



This knife has a convex grind. This is a special sharpening method where the side of the blade continues in one convex curve to a razor-sharp edge. This sharpening method is often applied by hand in the factory. The great advantage of a convex grind is that it offers the perfect balance between minimal cutting resistance and optimum strength of the edge. The blade of this knife is enhanced with a 'satin finish'. This is a chic and tasteful finish that is very popular.



## Micarta handle 
The handle of the Bark River Gunny Rampless PSB-27, Aged Green Canvas Micarta, outdoor knife is made of micarta. This is a composite material made of fabric and synthetic resin. If you look closely, you can see a subtle texture on the surface, sometimes it looks almost like wood. This material is strong and stable, and it's very grippy.
