The Elite is the most extensive set with both the electric sharpener and the Work Sharp Ken Onion Mk.2 Blade Grinding Attachment.

## Work Sharp Ken Onion Mk.2 Elite scope of delivery

The Work Sharp Ken Onion Elite Knife and Tool Sharpener Mk.2, also called the KO2 by Work Sharp, is available in two versions. The Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition Knife & Tool Sharpener Mk.2 electric knife sharpener comes with sharpening belts of the following grit sizes: 120, 220, 1000, 3000 and 6000 grit, for basic sharpening. For the Blade Grinding Attachment, the following grit sizes are included: 120, 220, 1000, 3000, 12000. A stropping belt is also included for the Blade Grinding Attachment.

**Note:** This version of the product comes with an EU plug, meaning it is designed for use in countries that follow the European standard for power outlets. It cannot be directly used in countries with a different plug type, such as the UK, without a compatible plug adapter or converter. Please ensure you have the necessary equipment if you intend to use this product in a country with a different standard.

## Work Sharp Ken Onion Mk.2 stronger electric motor

The electromotor has received an upgrade too. It runs at 50/60 Hz, consumes 0.8 A and delivers 140 watts of power. This more powerful motor has a longer operational time of 30 minutes, ensuring long-term and reliable operation. This time span is more than sufficient for sharpening several knives.

## Work Sharp Ken Onion Mk.2 speed control: seven speeds

The biggest improvement to the Ken Onion Mk.2 is the digital speed control. The previous model had a dial on the trigger that allowed you to adjust the speed of the belt, which could sometimes be a bit of a hassle. Work Sharp has solved this by adding a couple of knobs on the top of the handle. You still activate the machine with the trigger and you can lock the speed with a button, leaving your hands free for sharpening, just like the previous model. But instead of the dial, you now use the plus button to increase the speed and the minus button to decrease it. There are seven speed levels, and LED lights clearly indicate which level you're currently using. Do you want to switch off the machine? Simply press the yellow button with the circle. It's incredibly intuitive!

## Work Sharp Ken Onion Mk.2 sharpening angles

Another upgrade is the way you can adjust the sharpening angle. This used to be located vertically on the sharpening angle guide. Now, it is fitted horizontally, so it's easier to see the angle. The guides have a soft piece of leather on the inside to prevent scratching the blade of your knife. The sharpening angles have not changed. You can adjust the sharpening angle to your liking in 0.5-degree increments from 15 to 30 degrees.

## Work Sharp Ken Onion Mk.2 Blade Grinding Attachment

With the Work Sharp Blade Grinding Attachment for the Ken Onion Edition Knife & Tool Sharpener Mk.2 electric knife sharpener, you turn your Work Sharp Ken Onion Mk.2 into a larger belt sharpener! This addition expands the sharpener and offers more control when sharpening your knives. The larger 2.5 cm x 45 cm sharpening belts, fully adjustable sharpening angles from 10° to 35° and three settings for convex edges, give you full control over sharpening your knives.

## What's new about the Work Sharp Blade Grinding Attachment Ken Onion Edition Knife & Tool Sharpener Mk.2

The Blade Grinding Attachment has undergone perhaps the biggest upgrade of all Ken Onion Edition Knife & Tool Sharpener Mk.2 products. The difference is clearly visible compared to the previous version. 

Adjusting the sharpening angle is now significantly better, thanks to a rotary knob on the front that allows you to infinitely adjust the angle. Installing or replacing the belts has also become easier thanks to a larger, bolt-action-style lever. You can lock this, leaving both hands free to install the belt. Adjusting the belt has been made easier, and the large wheel now has three positions that allow you to adjust the tension of the belt on the area you are sharpening. To minimize convex grinding, adjust the wheel to its tightest setting.

At the rear, at the vertical straight surface, the belt will then closer to the rear surface. This allows you to sharpen with greater stability on the belt for a better and straighter result. In addition, you can slide the reference plate up or down as required.

The Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition Knife & Tool Sharpener Mk.2 contains parts from both the United States and China. The product is assembled in the United States.

Super produit même pour des débutant comme moi

Geweldige machine! De blade grinder is een geweldige toevoeging op een al zeer capabel apparaat.
Ik had verwacht dat er een langer leerproces voor nodig zal zijn, maar ik kon mijn messen na een middagje oefenen haarsplijtend scherp maken! 

Durch Infos über YouTube gekauft.
Beschäftige mich viel mit dem Messerschleifen. Die anderen Systeme verwende ich fast nicht mehr, dies betrifft auch den Hoerl Rollenschleifer.
Work Sharp unbedingt dem Horl bevorzugen. 

Ravi de mon achat outils simple à utiliser avec de très bon résultat rapide et de bonne qualité 

Des améliorations considérables par rapport à la première version (que je possède également, avec le Blade grinding attachment).
En premier lieu, le réglage de la vitesse, précis et facile, à la différence de la version précédente, imprécis et malaisé. C'est l'amélioration la plus importante, et qui pour moi justifie à elle seule d'investir dans ce nouveau Worksharp.
Le réglage de l'angle devient également plus facile.
Le réglage de l'entraxe permettant d'obtenir un tranchant plus ou moins convexe se fait en une fraction de seconde et sans outil, alors qu'il nécessitait auparavant un démontage avec une clé 6 pans en pouces (américaine).
Le moteur est un peu plus puissant et légèrement moins bruyant.
L'ergonomie générale est améliorée, ainsi que l'esthétique.
Seul point légèrement négatif, du fait  de la protection améliorée du Blade grinding attachment, mettre ou retirer les bandes devient un peu moins simple, mais on ne peut avoir l'un sans l'autre.
Un point à améliorer pour une prochaine édition ? Un interrupteur, sur le Worksharp ou sur le fil d'alimentation, permettant de mettre hors tension tout en le laissant branché à une prise. Il reste en tension, et il est donc nécessaier de le débrancher.
