This is the best no nonsense knife on the market. It has amazing build quality and is really robust! It's as near a lock knife as you can get with its firm back spring. All of the tools when opened are held firmly in place. The blade and the flat head screwdriver/bottle opener are thicker than the 91mm range of knife. The key tools on the knife are the blade, the saw which punches way above its weight quite easily and the awl is a superb piece of kit, drilling, striking a fire steel, cutting open packaging wrapping bands, use like a secondary blade for all the rough stuff saving the main blade etc it goes on and on! The UK knife law although being there for the right reasons are tough on the innocent working man.. Making it nye on impossible to carry a robust excellent tool such as the swisstool which I carried to date for 10yrs daily but after the gentleman who was found guilty of carrying an offensive weapon locked in his car, in its pouch in a locked glove box it's just not worth the aggravation so I leave that at work now but still needed a good solid tool whilst out and about. Now the farmer will never replace the swisstool as the most perfect piece of kit BUT for strength, usefulness, lightness (swisstool is 11ozs with pouch compared with 3ozs for the farmer) and the cost! I could have 5 farmers for 1 Swisstool! AND if you combine the little rambler with the farmer you get all the primary tools of the officer knives with the robustness of the farmer which but the way still works out cheaper than say the ranger (which I also own) win win. KaT were brilliant it was here when they said it would be and tracked all the way, can't fault them and will use again.
