Firesteel with built-in fire starter, steel wool tinder compartment, carbide-tipped glass breaker and safety whistle.


At first glance, the **SOG Flint** looks like a run-of-the-mill firesteel. But looks can be deceiving! This firesteel has much more to offer.




For instance, there is an emergency whistle in the handle. Ideal for making your position known in an emergency. The part with the whistle has a steel firestarter to use with the firesteel. To get the fire going quickly, there is a ball of steel tinder in a separate compartment. This ignites very quickly and is ideal for turning those first sparks into a flame. When the steel wool is used up, you can store a tinder of your choice in this waterproof compartment. There is a carbide glass breaker at the end of the firesteel. The firesteel has a lanyard eye so you can carry it with you at all times. Use this lanyard eye to hang the firesteel on your key ring or on the sheath of your knife.
