The Skerper Paddle Strop Viking is a lovely stropping paddle of serious size. You can make all kind of sharp edges even sharper: from pocket knives to chisels and from kitchen knives to gouges. Due to its size this strop is suitable for larger knives. The core is made of Oriental plane wood. Fine wood with a beautiful drawing of small stripes in the grain. The leather strop surface is attached to this on both sides. This leather is well finished with a smooth result. But how exactly does stropping work? We will explain it to you! Wat een heerlijk ding! 
Na wat research (op K&T) uiteindelijk toch overtuigd om een stropper aan te schaffen. Voorheen sleep ik mijn EDC en keuken messen enkel. Nu ben ik helemaal verkocht aan het stroppen. 
Door het goed stroppen kreeg en houd ik mijn messen scherper dan ooit. Dankzij de goede uitleg op K&T is het een koud kunstje. Momenteel gebruik ik een zijde van de stropper met een medium component van Skerper (groen) en de andere zijde zonder, voornaamlijk om het mes echt goed proper te krijgen. 
De paddelvorm van de stropper zorgt voor een aangename werkhouding. Het oppervlak van de stropper is voldoende groot om kleine messen (in mijn geval Leathermans) op te en grote chefmessen te stroppen. Al had ik liever het leder helemaal tot aan de rand van het hout gehad. 
Ondanks de nogal hoge prijs voor een simpel werktuig toch zeker de kost waard.

als je klaar bent met het slijpen van het mes is het goed om het mes ook te stroppen het mes wordt niet alleen gladder maar ook iets scherper maar strop niet te veel want overstropping licht op loer een paddle strop gebruiken gaat soms iets te mooi.

Hervorragende Arbeit. Gibt auf YT genug Ratschläge, wie das Teil zu gebrauchen ist. Klare Empfehlung für Fans einer Rasierschärfe.
