The **Silky F180** is a great folding saw, perfect for outdoor use and working in the garden. You can easily store the F180 in a toolbox, considering the fact that it is a folding saw. The blade is locked when opened. When the saw is folded the teeth are protected by the handle. The cut-out in the blade ensures that you can easily open the saw, even while wearing gloves. 

The saw is enhanced with 7.5 teeth per 30 mm. As such it is suited coarser saw work and fresh wood. The saw can also be used for hard wood and branches with a diameter of up to 195 mm. You can also get replacement saw blades for this saw.

The blade of this Silky saw is very thin and hard. As such it will be amazing to use, but it does require a little attention as you use it. This saw is a pull saw. This means that the blade cannot bend as you use it. Make sure that when moving it forward the blade is never forced. This could cause it to break. Always remove the weight to free the saw. As with any saw: let the saw do the work and don't force anything. This won't wear you out as much and will benefit the life of the saw. By holding the handle in many different parts you can control how much wood you remove. Holding it close to the blade means less pressure on the blade and little wood removal. As such you can work accurately. When you hold the handle further back the pressure will be bigger, enabling you to work faster, but less precise.

As soon as the saw is no longer sharp, you can easily replace the blade. If you maintain the saw well the teeth retain their sharpness longer. It is possible with olive oil. Resin dissolves in olive oil and ensures that the saw stays sharp for a longer period of time. More aggressive products affect the rubber of the handle.

Very efficient saw given it's price. The handle feels cheap, but the blade is robust, which is what you are looking for in this price range.

Rien à dire ça scie à la perfection je recommande à 100% 

Première scie de chez silky pour ma part, et c’est celle d’entrée de game, elle fait son job, débite ce qu’il faut pour faire son feu ou de la construction d’abris. 

À voir sur le long terme comment la lame réagis et ne pas trop forcer sachant qu’elle débite principalement avec le mouvement arrière !

Zaagt goed, maar is wel een beetje wobbelig (beweegt veel in het heft).

Une scie pliante japonaise de haute qualité. Franchement, un outil d'élagage ou de bushcraft indispensable : solide, terriblement efficace, léger... Je recommande !
