The **QSP Knife Penguin** is a cool pocket knife with a characterizing sheepsfoot blade. The practical aspect of this shape is that with the tip you can work precisely, while you can also place your thumb on the spine of the blade to apply some more pressure during the more demanding tasks. You quickly open it with one hand with the double thumb stud and because of the linerlock your fingers will be safe.

The blade is made from D2. This is a tough type of tool steel that retains its sharpness well. You can also easily sharpen D2. Do pay attention around moisture and acids: D2 is not as stainless as certain corrosion resistant types of steel. So make sure you clean and dry it after use.

The handle is made from brass. A heavy material that makes sure it feels solid in hand. Please note: brass will form a patina in time, it will therefore change colour.

Veruit een van de fijnste messen uit mijn verzameling, stevig, goed gemaakt. Bij dit mes is het vooral het bovengemiddeld gewicht dat mij aanspreekt. Je voelt hem in je broekzak zitten, weinig kans om hem te verliezen of te vergeten. Ik gebruik hem voor allledaagse snij-klusjes. Goed scherp ... maar ja ... een bot mes is gewoon een "oud stuk ijzer"  :-)

..i am very impressed with this slightly heavie but very smoooooth QSP Brass Penguin, whether for hard work, personal collection or a gift to someone, a classic worth owning…

I really like this knive. It’s simple, buttery smooth opening and closing, the lock could be a little bigger, it’s a bit tight for one handed closing but it’s manageable and it comes sharp out the box too which is always nice! It’s got a nice weight and feels good in the hand, the handle is a little smooth, not as grippy as other materials, but hey, it’s beautiful! 

Das Penguin ist ein ansprechendes Taschenmesser, was seiner Klasse alle Ehre macht. Die Klinge ist sehr scharf mit einer kleinen Phase ausgeschliffen. Die tolle Messingoptik bringt natürlich etwas mehr Gewicht mit sich. Das allerdings verbessert meines Erachtens auch die Handlage. Somit macht das Pinguin einen gesamt sehr fertigen und nützlichen Eindruck.
