The Opinel pocket knife with wooden handle. Originally created by Joseph Opinel in 1890 for use by farmers. The Opinel Pocket knife is a famous, yet very cheap pocket knife for everyday use. You can get very small versions or fairly large ones.

The larger models are equipped with a simple but effective Virobloc-locking. This is a ring, which can be pivoted around the hinge point. This causes blocking of the blade. A classic in true sense of the word.  
   
   
  


Many of the Opinel knives are made of carbon steel, which is quite susceptible to rust. However, this knife has a blade made of Sandvik 12C27-steel. This type of steel is stainless, promoting userfriendliness.

Hij is vlijm scherp je hoeft hem niet meer te slijpen als je hem hebt en voor deze prijs zo'n scherp mes... GEWELDIG!!!

Typische uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitverhouding die je van Opinel mag verwachten.

Mijn advies: Probeer een paar maten je optimale grootte te vinden. Naar mijn mening is the #9 min of meer het maximum die je in een jeansbroekzak zal krijgen.

Bij het roestvastmodel is er minder onderhoud nodig, fijn indien je het mes niet vaak gebruikt of wanneer het geregeld nat zal worden.

Let wel op met vochtigheid want hout kan zwellen, waardoor het zakmes moeilijker te openen en te sluiten wordt.

Knap zakmes voor bijzonder prettig prijsje. Mooi ook dat er zoveel maten zijn, no. 9 past precies in mijn ((iets grotere) hand.
En inderdaad binnen 24 uur geleverd.
