The **LionSteel Skinny** is a cool EDC pocket knife from LionSteel's SOLID collection. A feature of this series is that the frame is milled from one solid piece of titanium or aluminium, making the handle an integral element of the knife. The Skinny gets its name from its slim design, making the knife easy to carry and not take up much space in your pocket. At this size, the Skinny is a friend to all.

## LionSteel Skinny CPM MagnaCut steel

The blade of the LionSteel Skinny is made from CPM MagnaCut. Many feel this type of steel is 'perfect'. Quite the statement. We think they have a point. It is a stainless type of tool steel. With a comparable toughness and sharpness retention of carbon steels such as CPM-CruWear, CPM-4V and Vanadis 4. The corrosion resistance is also sublime. Better than the popular stainless types of steel such as CPM S110V, CPM S45VN and Böhler M390. 

## REF removable flipper

The Skinny is equipped with LionSteel's famous REF (removable flipper) system. This means that you can simply remove the flipper if you don't want to use it, using the included T6 torx screwdriver. You replace the flipper by a screw to fill up the hole in the blade. The advantage of this feature is that you turn a one-handed knife into a two-handed opener, which can work in your favour depending on local knife laws, or simply your own preference. The blade opens and closes very smoothly through the use of IKBS ball bearings and locks by means of a framelock fitted with a hardened steel insert.

## LionSteel Skinny handles

There are different versions to choose from: the models with carbon fibre inlays have an integral handle made from titanium and the versions with canvas micarta inlays are enhanced with an integral handle made from aluminium. The pocket clip is interchangeable so it's suitable for either left-handed use or right-handed use. Or you could remove it altogether, to make the Skinny even skinnier.

Mes besteld en ook weer terug gestuurd. Het exemplaar wat ik opgestuurd kreeg had aantal 'problemen'. Hij was reeds geslepen door iemand en de verpakking was beschadigd. Dit kan gebeuren en Knives and Tools doet dan ook niet moeilijk met het terugsturen. De framelock bij dit specifieke mes was erg strak. Bij het sluiten moet je dermate veel druk zetten dat je hem eigenlijk dicht 'lanceert'. Ik weet niet of dit een product eigenschap is of een uitzondering. Verder erg mooi afgewerkt en voelt solide in de hand. Mooie materialen gebruikt. Helaas was dit net de laatste. Indien deze netjes was geweest, had hij wel 4.5 sterren gehad.
