This **Hultafors Ågelsjön Trekking axe Mini premium** is the smallest axe from the Premium collection. A great axe to take with you when you go camping. It will, however, also come in handy when chopping kindling for the fireplace. This axe is very flexible and easy in use. It comes with a leather sheath.

## Axe head

The axe head is forged from Swedish axe steel. The edge is hardened to make sure it is strong enough to stay sharp without breaking, but can also be sharpened. Basically everything you like to see in an axe head. The Hultafors axes are reliable and will last a lifetime. That is why Hultafors gives a lifetime warranty on the axe head of all Premium axes.

## Hultafors axe handles

Hultafors uses American hickory wood for the handles. This type of wood is exceptional in absorbing blows without breaking. As such it is perfect as a handle for hammers and, of course, axes. 

## Characteristics of Hultafors Premium axes

The axe heads used for the Hultafors Premium collection are forged in the same way as the heads used for the Agdor axes. The remarkable aspect of the Premium collection, however, is that they are mostly made by hand. After forging the axes are finished on belt sanders by skilled craftsman. First the geometry of the head is refined. Afterwards the heads are hardened and tempered to 55 HRC. 

After that a Premium axe is sharpened. By hand! Until every edge will shine like a mirror. Finally the head is enhanced with a handle and a premium sheath.

Mooi stuk gereedschap wat goed scherp geslepen is. De vorm van de bijlkop vind ik een mooier design dan die van de agdor serie. Deze mini is echter ook echt wel mini. Ik had deze bijl gekocht om naast de kachel wat aanmaakhout te kloven maar omdat de bijlkop 'slechts' 0.5 kg is moet je toch wel wat momentum creëren. Wat niet altijd prettig aanvoelt met een klein houtje in de hand. Wel een goede reden om nu zijn grotere broer 'jagersbijl Ekelund 0.85 Premium' erbij aan te schaffen. Zal een mooie set samen naast de kachel zijn.

Ein tolles Teil! Liegt sehr gut in der Hand und ist hervorragend verarbeitet. Ich benutze das Beil hauptsächlich zum herrichten von kleinerem Anzündeholz. Ich werde mir noch ein größeres Hultafors-Beil kaufen. Schade, dass ich bisher für meine Holzarbeiten nur günstigere Industrie- Beile verwendet habe
