The **Fiskars X36 Splitting Axe L** has an axe head with a very wide wedge shape. The wider wedge shape splits wood even more efficiently and also makes it easier to remove the axe from the wood. The handle has a very strong construction with a long SoftGrip™ that absorbs the blows during use. This heavy splitting axe is suitable for splitting very large logs!

## The handle of the Fiskars X series axes

Traditional axes often have a handle made from wood. Fiskars, however, decided that even an old type of tool like an axe can be improved. The fibreglass reinforced plastic FiberComp handle of a Fiskars axe is stronger and lighter than a handle that is made from wood. The handle absorbs vibrations and increases the grip and the comfort as you use the axe. As a result, even the toughest jobs will be a breeze. 

## Axe head of the Fiskars X series

The sharp axe head made of carbon steel is integral to the handle and will therefore never detach from the handle. The axe head is enhanced with a smooth coating that ensures the axe can easily be removed from the wood. This coating is very sustainable.

Excellent product, reinforcement of handle is welcomed, although unnecessary. I now have 4 axes of differing use/size.
I've never broken a fiskars axe in 10 years and if I had it would've been replaced under warranty.

De Fiskars X36 kloofbijl maakt direct een goede indruk. Dankzij de ergonomische steel en de goed uitgebalanceerde kop ligt hij prettig in de hand, wat het kloven van hout een stuk makkelijker maakt. De scherpte van de bijlkop en de speciale vorm zorgen ervoor dat hout snel  splijt. 

Een minpunt is dat de bijl niet zelfstandig rechtop blijft staan, zoals sommige kloofbijlen met een bredere kop dat wel doen. Daarnaast maakt de scherpte van de kop hem kwetsbaar voor beschadigingen, vooral bij onbedoelde aanraking met harde oppervlakken zoals steen.

Met oogpunt op de hoogwaardige materialen en de lange garantieperiode voor de steel is de Fiskars X36 zeker een aanrader!


Hele fijne kloofbijl, ligt erg goed in de hand. Werkt super, zelfs voor een onervaren houthakker als mijzelf.

Een fantastische kloofbijl deze X36. Licht, stabiel en doeltreffend. Voorzien van een beschermende houder. Handvat ligt goed in de hand. Met de juiste snelheid een enorme slagkracht. Zeer blij met deze aankoop.
