Really happy with this knife which is extremely sharp. I haven't tried resharpening yet, but don't imagine there will be any problems. The only thing I have noticed is that when cutting onions, where the onions are cut there is a brown stain - not a problem when cooking, but doesn't look so good if being used in a salad.

Excellent quality for the price (bought on sale), very sharp, light but well balanced in hand, needs a just bit of care to prevent rust, nice patina with time.

Awesome knife, sharp right out of box. Honed on a 5000 grit stone to razor sharp, top knife for any professional chef. Only downside is the non stainless steel, but love the look of the knife and its authenticity. A real hand forged beautiful Japanese knife.

Delightful knife, extremely sharp out of the box. I love the authentic Japanese look and feel, and the rough finish of the blue paper steel (except the sharpened edge - that is dead smooth!)
