The **Eden ED 8x42** has a stunning bright and sharp image, with colours that stand out. It is the result of the top-quality ED-glass and BAK-4 prism. The pair is also enhanced with different coatings that ensure a high light transmission. So real premium Eden binoculars.

## Top-quality optical elements 

This pair has been enhanced with top-quality optical elements you will often only find in much more expensive pairs. The pair is, for instance, enhanced with BaK-4 glass. As such as little as possible light is lost. The adjustable eye cups and the eye relief of 17 mm ensure that this pair is also great for spectacle wearers. The di-electric and phase-correction coatings on the prisms contribute to the very high light transmission of the Eden ED 8x42. The result is a lively and sharp image. You can easily focus the pair with the large focus wheel in between the oculars. Because the pair is filled with nitrogen you won't be bothered by condensation. The objective lens is enhanced with a waterproof coating to make sure you even have a great overview in the rain. 

## ED Glass prevents colour shifts
The Eden ED 8x42 is enhanced with ED glass. ED stands for Extra Low Dispersion. This means that the Chromatic Aberration is reduced. For binoculars without this type of glass you often see that, at the edges of an object, colours emerge that are not true to reality. ED glass ensures that this does not happen. 

## Feels great in hand because of the 'Coffee Bean structure'.
The magnesium body of the Eden ED 8x42 is finished with a so-called 'Coffee Bean Structure'. As such the pair is a little rougher, making it feel more solid in hand. You won't easily drop it. 

## Differences with the Eden XP binoculars
* Sharper image with better colours.

## Scope of delivery
The Eden ED 8x42 comes with lens caps, a broad carrier belt and a top-quality bag. We had this bag produced by Tasmanian Tiger. It is made from 700D Cordura and enhanced with YKK zipper, a belt loop and smaller loops to, for instance, attach it to a harness. On the inside you will find thick, protective padding to protect the binoculars and a small compartment for your lens pen, micro-fibre cloth or your keys. The laser-cut MOLLE on the side is great for attaching your keys, a flashlight or a pouch.

purchased this one with the primary purpose of bird watching. these binoculars absolutely exceed my expectations, although these were already high due to reviews posted by others. the binoculars absolutely have the look and feel of a top class model: pleasant amount of mass in your hands, good grip thanks to the applied profile. the wide field of view ensures not only that you can pick up birds in flight effortlessly but keep tracking them easily as well. the image is razor sharp over the entire field of view and I’ve not experienced any distortion with respect to coloring near the edges. i simply can't justify to myself paying such exorbitant amounts to purchase one of the current top brands. take it from someone who spends many hours in nature every week: you will enjoy the quality of this product every time you use it, without once regretting your choice!

We zijn in de showroom zeer plezierig te woord gestaan en geadviseerd. 

De XP-versie van dit model had ik al een keer in mijn handen gehad, en ik was daar erg tevreden over. Die deed in mijn optiek niet onder voor de Buizerd II van de vogelbescherming, welke bijna 2x de prijs is.

Daarna heb ik lang getwijfeld tussen dit model en de XP 8x42. Uiteindelijk toch voor de "upgrade" gegaan, en ik heb er geen spijt van. Vooral in situaties met minder licht geeft deze verrekijker een goed beeld, en komt hij denk ik beter tot zijn recht t.o.v. de XP.

De bouwkwaliteit is goed, hij voelt degelijk aan. De bijbehorende tas is ook van goede kwaliteit. Andere berichten dat de verrekijker er met de band niet in zou passen volg ik niet helemaal; bij mij is dit geen probleem. 

De beschermdoppen vallen er ook niet zomaar af, iets wat ik bij andere verrekijkers wel vaak zie. 

Al met al zeer tevreden, volgens mij is dit een verrekijker die zich kan meten met modellen die een stuk duurder zijn.

Via een collega (een echte vogelaar), kreeg ik deze verrekijker geadviseerd. Een topper (top segment, voor de laagste prijs) zei hij. Hij had gelijk! Knives and tooles adviseerde hij vanwege prijs kwaliteit en  hoe ze survice leveren. En  ik moet zeggen ze hebben de verrekijker binnen een dag geleverd en alles zag/ziet er goed uit! Bedankt knives en tools voor de snelle levering en telefonisch advies.
