The **Böker Plus Vigtig** is a compact bushcraft knife, designed by Dave Wenger. For the Vigtig Dave Wenger became inspired by one of this previous successful designs: the Böker Plus Mini Tracker.

The design and materials used for the handle are therefore similar. The difference lies in the blade shape. The blade looks a lot like a Scandinavian Puukko. Like many other Puukko's the Vigtig is enhanced with a scandi edge. Amongst bushcraft enthusiasts this is a popular grind because it excels at wood work. You can also easily sharpen this scandi edge on a sharpening stone.

The blade is made from 1095 carbon steel. A rock-solid type of steel that is popular for use with survival and bushcraft knives. 1095 is quite flexible and very tough. It won't break easily. As such it can handle its own. Do, however, be careful: 1095 is not completely stainless. Fortunately Böker enhanced the blade with a coating. But the scandi edge and potential wear and tear in the coating could occasionally use a couple drops of oil.

The handle is made from micarta. A strong material that feels great in hand. Even in wet circumstances. That is when the fibres in the material swell up to make sure you have even more grip over the knife.

The Böker Plus Vigtig comes with a sleek kydex sheath.

Estupendo cuchillo con unos acabados muy buenos

Wat een bout mes. Ongelijke slijphoek, niet scherp. Elke keer als je mes het uit de schede haalt komen er stukken kydex mee van het krassen, dit zie je ook op het lemmet. Beetje jammer, want terugsturen kan daardoor nu ook niet meer. 

Couteau petit mais solide avec un acier carbone facile à aiguisé. Idéal en backup !
Il s'encastre parfaitement dans la main, c'est très agréable la poignée est parfaite !! Une des meilleures que j'ai, avec les plaquettes customes de mon bk2. Le tranchant est rasoir et l'emouture scandinave pénètre profondément dans le bois. Si j'avais un reproche à faire, ce serait au niveau du clip et de  l'étui kydex, j'ai connu mieux... De toute façon je vais l'utiliser avec une gaine cuir sur mesure, en scout carry et d'ailleurs, je ne comprends pas pourquoi il n'est pas vendu avec une gaine cuir, c'est pas un couteau tactique, donc le kydex bof. 

Handlich, massiv und scharf.
Liegt bei Handschuhgröße 10 satt in der Hand und überzeugt bisher, in allen Bereichen.
Bedarf bei regelmäßigem Gebrauch, natürlich auch der regelmäßigen Pflege, aber das sollte einem, bei diesem Stahl, vorher klar sein.
Klare Kaufempfehlung, für dieses kleine Arbeitstier.

Heavy duty, sturdy little knife, super priced, ready to perform more than its size, comes with a tight sheath, but overall on the heavy side for EDC or lightweight packing.
