## About the wood carving knives

The blade is made from fine carbon steel. Easy to sharpen and very tough. As such it will bend sooner than it will break, in case something goes wrong. Better safe than sorry! Keep in mind that carbon steel is not stainless. So don't store it while still wet. A couple drops of oil once in a while will make sure the blade stays in great shape.

## BeaverCraft handle

The handle is made from ash wood. A strong type of wood that is also used for axe handles. The ergonomics of all BeaverCraft tools is great. But the good thing about wood carving knives is that you can always modify the handle yourself. To make it your own!

Premier set de découverte pour moi. Très satisfait de l'affutage (mes doigts s'en souviennent, attention aux débutants, les premières erreurs ne rigolent pas et laissent des traces !) et de l'expérience de sculptage avec. Je les utilise pour apprendre à tailler des cuillères et petits kuksa et des bolinettes (c'est des petits bols :D). L'étui est bienvenu mais ne protège pas du tranchant donc attention lors du déplacement. Le tout est packagé dans un carton Beavercraft et l'envoie par Knives and Tools est soigné, accompagné d'un livret publicitaire qui fait baver. J'image qu'il y a mieux comme set mais pour un débutant ou en remplacement c'est parfait.
