The **The James Brand Ellis Scissors Desert Tortoise Acetate** is an alternative version of the original Ellis. This stylish, multi-functional pocket knife distinguishes itself at its core. But overall stayed true to its aluminium predecessor. 

The blade is made from Sandvik 12C27 steel. This is a popular stainless steel that is easy to sharpen. For this version of the Ellis, the bottle opener has been replaced by small, stainless scissors. They're great for everyday tasks. The backlock was replaced by a slipjoint. This resistance ensures that the blade isn't completely locked when opened. As such, you can legally carry this knife almost anywhere.

## The James Brand Ellis Scissors Acetate handle

This version features a handle made from 'Acetate'. It's an environmentally friendly material commonly used in the eyewear industry. The logo embedded in the handle is a nice detail. It's a nod to eyewear as we know it from famous brands like Ray-Ban. At the end of the handle there is a protrusion which functions as a backspacer, flathead screwdriver and lanyard eye.
