The Microplane Specialties Hand mandoline is a compact and affordable alternative for a large mandoline. Cutting slices with a thickness from 1 to 3 mm is child's play with this mandoline. These thicknesses are easily adjusted with the slide on the edge of the blade. The julienne knife produces strips that are 3 mm wide. You set up the thickness of the strips with the same slide you use to set up the thickness of the slices.
