The **Medford Praetorian T S45VN DLC Tanto Blade, Silver Predator Handle, Black Hardware** is Medford's most famous pocket knife. Large, robust and rock-solid: the Praetorian is it all. 100% made in the United States, from American materials, by a veteran-run company.

The Medford Praetorian is massive. The large blade made of CPM S45VN steel opens quite easily thanks to the generous thumb slot. At first this might take some getting used to. When opened, a solid framelock keeps the blade securely in place. Medford pressed the stop-pin in the blade. As a result, it symmetrically leans against the handle. This adds strength.

The blade is made from CPM S45VN. A premium type of powdered steel, which means that the steel has a very fine structure. As a result, it retains its sharpness for a very long time. S45VN is very similar to S35VN, however, it retains its sharpness longer and is easier to sharpen.

Medford fitted this knife with a titanium handle with a silver 'predator' finish. The end of the handle has a glass breaker. The blade is enhanced with a PVD coating. The hardware and pocket clip are flamed.

Each Medford knife is made by hand by talented knife makers. Individual differences therefore occur and make each knife unique.
