Full description
The Marttiini Bear 549011W is a traditional Finnish Puukko based on the Marttinni Lynx. This type of knife was used in Finland as a basic knife for everyday cutting tasks such as hunting, fishing or tasks around the house. The inspiration for this knife was therefore drawn from the almost 100 years of history and experience in knife making that the Finnish brand Marttiini acquired over the years. The knife is made from natural materials. Wood for the handle and leather for the sheath. The knife features a scandi grind. The scandi grind, as the name suggests, originates from Scandinavia. The scandi grind has been the standard for ages when it comes to outdoor knives, hunting knives and bushcraft knives. In fact, a large v-shaped edge, without any further frills. A scandi grind is easy to manufacture and easy to sharpen at home. A scandi grind is great for wood work. Because the blade is relatively thick, it is very strong and can handle quite a lot. At the end of the handle, this knife has a characteristic pommel shaped like the head of a wild bear made of bronze.
