This **Le Creuset round grill pan Azure** is made from solid cast iron. A decent, top-quality pan that will last for generations. There are so many things you can do with this cast iron grill pan. You can grill meat, fish and vegetables on all types of hobs, in the oven or over an open fire. With this grill pan, you can get those authentic grill stripes on each piece of meat. And the authentic grill flavour, too!

A big advantage of this pan is that you don't need to use very much fat when cooking. Another advantage is that any fat that is released is drained away from the food because of the ridges. You can use the pouring rim to pour out the excess fat. This also comes in handy when cleaning the pan. 

## Le Creuset Signature pans

Le Creuset Signature pans are cast in cast iron. For each individual pan a mould is made from sand. This mould is filled with cast iron. The cast iron is then finished with a beautiful enamel non-stick coating, The outside is enhanced with one of the characteristic Le Creuset colours. The result is a brilliant, heavy pan. A real style icon, which will last for generations. Because an individual mould is made each time, every pan is unique, so there may be subtle differences between them. This is one of the charming characteristics of these world-famous pans.

Clean the pan before use and dry it properly. In addition, always select a fitting heat source to match the base diameter of the pan. When using a gas hob, make sure that the flames cannot spread around the sides of the pan. The flames should only hit the base. Also don't immediately place the hot dish under a cold tap, this could damage it. Make sure it has enough time to cool off. This pan is dishwasher safe. However, please note that frequent dishwasher use could affect the enamel finish.

## History of Le Creuset pans

The basis for the success of the Le Creuset pans started in 1924 at the fair in Brussels. Armand Desaegher (specialist in cast iron) and Octave Aubecq (specialist in enamel) joined forces and decided to establish a company. It turned out to be an amazing decision. Ever since 1925, they have been conquering the world with their enamel Le Creuset pans.
