The **Kershaw Korra 1409** is the ideal EDC pocket knife for budget-conscious knife users. It opens quickly and easily, and can be carried on your left side or right side. Moreover, it's easy to sharpen. It's the type of knife you won't have to be too careful with: just enjoy working with it!




The Kershaw Korra 1409 pocket knife is a nice EDC knife in the colour black. With its blade length of 6,9 cm, it's a compact pocket knife that effortlessly fits inside your pocket. You can also notice this in the weight of 60 g. You'll barely notice you're carrying it with you!



## Blade made of 5Cr15MoV steel
The blade is made of 5Cr15MoV. That sounds like quite the mouthful, but it's actually simple. It is a stainless steel, it is easy to sharpen, it offers good sharpness retention and, above all, it's budget-friendly. This is the Chinese variant of the well-known German chef's knife steel X50CrMoV15 which is used by the biggest German chef's knife brands.



The ‘stonewash’ process was chosen for the finish of this blade. The stonewash process involves the blade being placed inside a drum with ceramic stones, or media, and then vibrated or tumbled for several hours. The result is a finish that looks precisely polished or roughened depending on the version. The advantage of stonewashing, however, is that signs of use are much less noticeable. That makes it a popular choice for knives that see a lot of use.



## Handle made of FRN

The handle of the Kershaw Korra 1409 pocket knife is made of FRN and measures 9,6 cm in length. FRN stands for *Fibre-Reinforced Nylon*. That makes it a type of plastic made from nylon, and reinforced with glass fibres for additional strength and durability. FRN is also known as GFN.



## Kershaw Originals

Kershaw’s Originals are in-house designs. These designs come from the hands of Kershaw's own people. Always original and always pioneering. The knives in this series can be identified by the moon-shaped logo engraved on the blade.



This knife is equipped with an ‘assisted opening’. This means that a spring gives the blade an extra push when you open it. As a result, it opens even faster and you can get to work smoothly. It's important to know that it really only assists you: you set the opening mechanism in motion, the spring simply gives a little push.

It is important to check whether you are allowed to carry this knife with assisted opening in your area. In some countries they are completely banned, in others you can own them but not carry them.
