Great quality! Perfect vertical straight grain orientation. Strong, nicely colored wood. Fast delivery. Easy to shape, so easy to work with. It comes with a layer of wax, oil, or something else for protection. However, I sanded this off myself. This was difficult with sandpaper and resulted in a weird grey substance/dust, so I used a rasp instead. Afterwards, I re-oiled it with linseed oil. The shape of the handle is also great, a big contrast to the standard DIY store quality handles I’m used to. It is expensive but definitely worth the quality.

Superkwaliteit! oude bijl van 30 jaar oud kapotgeslagen door zoonlief. Ook hickory overigens...dit was een zeer goed vervanger. Punt gaaf supersterk hout en heet goed dat de wig en kram meegeleverd worden (die los krijgen is een drama). Op tijd geleverd geen gezeur. Zeker niet goedkoop maar kwaliteit mag wat kosten

Received a second hand product minor damage at the base and top of the handle when previous owner tried to hang the head not bad enough to return. Bought the handle knowing it would need alterations to fit correctly 10/10 for the wood grain direction can’t speak for other handles, needs thinned down (my preference)
