The**Gerber Downwind Ulu 30-001823** is a compact hunting knife. Part of Gerber's Downwind collection A collection of knives inspired by outdoor knives from the past. But now enhanced with modern materials and produced with the newest production methods. Use the Gerber Downwind Ulu to gut game.

The design of the knife stands out. This classic Ulu shape is characterized by the semi-circular blade and the handle that is located 'behind' the edge. The remarkable shape of the handle ensures that you can hold it in many different ways and use it for a longer period of time without your hand wearing out.

The blade is made from 7Cr steel. A good type of steel that is easy to sharpen. The handle of the Downwind collection stands out. It is made from layered G10 that provides you with a lot of grip. The handle is shaped as such that the material is placed around the steel of the handle. This doesn't only look amazing. It is also user-friendly! As such your hand will never get in contact with the cold steel. Great in winter or cold areas. It also feels comfortable in hand and offers you enough grip.

For the more precise tasks Gerber added ridges to the blade and the handle. You put your thumb or index finger on top during use to make sure you don't slip.

Each knife from the Downwind collection comes with a canvas sheath. This sheath is enhanced with a wax layer to protect it from external influences. The knife is kept in place with the help of the press-stud.
