## Blade made of Elmax steel
The blade of the FÃ¤llkniven PHanniv Phantom, 40th Anniversary Set is made of Elmax. It's tough, easy to sharpen and has a very good sharpness retention. These features, in combination with the corrosion resistance, makes Elmax a great steel. Elmax is made by Uddeholm in Sweden.



This knife has a convex grind. This is a special sharpening method where the side of the blade continues in one convex curve to a razor-sharp edge. This sharpening method is often applied by hand in the factory. The great advantage of a convex grind is that it offers the perfect balance between minimal cutting resistance and optimum strength of the edge. The blade of this knife is enhanced with a 'satin finish'. This is a chic and tasteful finish that is very popular.
