The **CRKT Squid XM Black 2495K** is a larger version of the incredibly popular CRKT Squid, designed by Lucas Burnley. The Squid collection is popular because of its functional and friendly design. In a short amount of time the CRKT Squid became one of the best starter knives ever. But also experienced knife enthusiasts often own a CRKT Squid.

But how much bigger is de Squid XM? The blade is 7.5 cm long. Approximately 2 cm longer than that of the standard Squid. As such this version is a little better suited for the more demanding cutting tasks. Despite its larger size the Squid XM still looks friendly with its droppoint style blade.

Like its smaller predecessor this knife can handle its own. The solid framelock ensures the D2 steel blade stays in place when opened. You can easily open this pocket knife with one hand. Also because of the addition of the, by Ken Onion designed, assisted opening mechanism. The assisted opening ensures that you can quickly open the knife with the flipper. This mechanism is enhanced with a spring that supports you when you open the knife. Because of the IKBS ball bearings it moves really well.

The handle is made from stainless steel and black G10. The deep-carry pocket clip ensures that the knife will never fall from your pocket.
