This **CRKT Chogan Hammer tomahawk** is an axe and hammer in one. It's both practical and tactical. You can effortlessly chop your wood with it, but it's also great for driving pegs into the ground. The tomahawk construction means you can easily separate the handle and the axe head. This means you can easily use the head separately for more precise tasks around the campsite. And you can always easily replace the handle, wherever you are.

## The axe head of the CRKT Chogan Hammer

The head of the Chogan Hammer is made from strong 1055 carbon steel. This steel has great sharpness retention. The black coating prevents rust (but always store your axe in a dry place). The head weighs almost 600 grams, which means that it delivers a lot of striking power for such a compact axe.

## The handle of the CRKT Chogan Hammer

The axe handle is made from strong hickory wood from Tennessee, USA. This type of wood is great at withstanding blows and vibrations. The axe head and handle are delivered disassembled. So you still have to 'assemble' this tomahawk. Fortunately, this is very easy: put the handle through the axe head, with the thicker part of the handle at the top of the head. Then hold it upside down by the handle and tap the thick part of the handle on a hard surface a few times. The weight of the head will cause it to secure itself in the wood.

Cumple sobradamente las expectativas de un tomahawk, buena retención de filo y facilidad de afilado, el tamaño de astil es el idóneo, herramienta muy funcional. 

Prima tomahawk! Mooi materiaal, voelt degelijk en heeft een mooie houtstructuur. De bijlkop is compact maar heeft toch wat gewicht in zich. De
bijlkop zelf had iets scherper gemogen maar niet slecht. De bijgeleverde snijrand bescherming is van een dun siliconen materiaal, dit had iets meer premium gemogen wmb (bijv kleine lederen foudraal) . De tomahawk zelf laat zich gemakkelijk bevestigen door hem te laten zakken op de steel en een paar keer ermee op een harde ondergrond te tikken. Voor extra bescherming heb ik paracord om de bovenzijde bevestigd als strike guard. Geeft hem net dat beetje extra.
