The **Bark River Teddy II** is a large, impressive outdoor knife. Truly a knife that will bring a smile to your face when you hold it. It borrows several design features from the knives made in Germany and the USA at the end of the 19th/beginning of the 20th century. What was then a hunting knife is now the centrepiece of your collection.

The blade is made from A2 tool steel, a strong steel that would sooner bend rather than break. You do, however, need to be careful with moisture and acids: A2 is not completely stainless. Make sure to clean the knife after use and occasionally apply a drop of oil to keep it in great shape. The edge has a convex grind that can be maintained by [stropping](/en/ct/stropping.htm) it.

The handle of the Bark River Teddy II is made from *stacked leather*. These are stacked leather discs which combine to form one comfortable handle. The handle is flanked on both sides by a knife guard and pommel. The amount of manual craftsmanship involved is incredible for a (semi-)production knife such as this.

The Bark River Teddy II comes with a luxurious leather belt sheath.

Bark River Knives makes all of its knives almost entirely by hand. This means that each knife is unique. Especially when working with natural materials, a knife may differ from the photos.
