The **ANV A400 A400-001 DLC Sleipner Black G10** is a robust, tactical pocket knife based on the ANV M200 Hardtask. Thanks to the ball bearings and the flipper with ANV's Lumidot, the blade opens smoothly and quickly. The A400 blade also has the same firesteel notch as its fixed-blade predecessor, the M200. In addition, the A400 features signature elements such as contrasting barrel spacers and a discreet deep-carry wire clip for secure carry in your pocket.




## Sleipner-steel blade
The blade has a length of 10,7 cm and is made of Sleipner steel, a robust steel type with a nicely balanced composition of carbon, chromium, molybdenum and vanadium. As a result, this steel offers excellent sharpness retention as well as toughness, ensuring it won't chip as quickly as some other steel types. This makes Sleipner steel perfect for heavy-duty use.

Moreover, this steel is fairly corrosion resistant thanks to the 8% chromium content, but it's not entirely stainless. Please make sure to clean the knife after use, dry it well and to treat it with oil or wax, especially in moist environments. With a simple [sharpening stone](/en/pt/-skerper-pocket-stone-diamondceramic-sharpening-stone-so003.htm), you can easily sharpen the blade back to razor-sharpness – even on the go!



The blade is finished with a DLC coating, which stands for ‘Diamond Like Carbon’. It's a very hard coating that is even harder than the steel. This makes DLC very scratch-resistant, and this coating protects the blade against corrosion. DLC is very hard, but it is also only a thin layer: eventually, you will always see signs of use.



## G10 handle

The ANV A400 A400-001 DLC Sleipner, Black G10, pocket knife features a handle made from G10 and measures 14 cm in length. G10 is a composite material made of glass fibre and synthetic resin. With its subtle texture, G10 feels great in hand and offers plenty of grip. Moreover, it is incredibly strong, so it can take a beating.
